Celebrate the 45th anniversary of Beast King GoLion with the return of a legendary Japanese die-cast robot toy. Chogokin Hyakujuu-Ou Golion from Bandai Tamashii Nations revives the classic Standard Chogokin Golion originally released by Popy in 1981, recreating the nostalgic proportions, metallic finish, and action gimmicks that helped make the original toy a favorite among generations of super robot collectors.

Known internationally as the robot that inspired Voltron, Hyakujuu-Ou Golion is formed from five color-coded Lion mecha. The Black Lion forms the head and torso, the Red and Green Lions become the arms, and the Blue and Yellow Lions form the legs, creating one of the most recognizable combining robot designs in anime history.

Rather than reinterpret the character as a modern transforming collectible, this release celebrates the distinctive character of the original Standard Chogokin toy. Standing approximately 150 mm / 5.9 inches tall, Golion features the compact, powerful proportions and substantial construction associated with classic Chogokin releases.

The body and legs incorporate die-cast metal, while ABS components complete the construction. Silver-plated details appear throughout the five Lion designs, enhancing the unmistakable metallic appearance that defines the classic Chogokin aesthetic.

The Lion heads forming Golion's hands and feet can be launched as missile projectiles, allowing all four Lion heads to fire from the robot's arms and legs. This signature play feature is unique to the Standard Chogokin interpretation and was not included in the DX Chogokin version.

Golion also comes armed with the legendary Ten Kings Sword (Jyuoken) and Space Cutter shield. Both accessories feature brilliant silver-plated finishes that complement the metallic detailing found throughout the robot. The sword and shield can be held in the mouths of the Green and Red Lions that form Golion's hands, recreating the heroic armed appearance of the classic super robot.

Additional articulation provides further display possibilities. The hip and knee joints can move, while the two main wings mounted on Golion's back feature rotating connection points that allow their spread angle to be adjusted.
