Mechander Robo

Mechander Robo (also known as Gasshin Sentai Mechander Robo) is a 1977 Japanese super robot anime produced by Wako Productions. The 35-episode series follows three young pilots — Jimmy Orion, Kojiro Hachijima, and Ryosuke Shikishima — who defend Earth from the invading Doron Empire using the powerful combining mecha, Mechander Robo.

Famous for its innovative combining jet system, where multiple fighter crafts merge to form a giant robot, the series became a cult classic in the vintage mecha genre.
