Mobilize the Diaclone Corps for heavy ground combat with Diaclone <D> Vehicles / Set 9: Ground Mission by Takara Tomy. Designed around armored land operations, this highly modular support set combines the powerful Blast Head artillery vehicle, Comhead IV command Bullet module, and tracked Land Chamber transport system with three Diaclone crew members for expanded battlefield play.

The centerpiece of the Ground Mission set is Blast Head, a heavily armed single-seat artillery vehicle equipped for intense surface combat.

Blast Head carries an impressive arsenal including the FZ Armor-Piercing Light Cannon, FZ Pulse Machine Guns, and grenade weaponry, giving the compact vehicle substantial offensive capability.

When the mission requires increased mobility, Blast Head can transform into a Mech Mode, changing from its vehicle configuration into a walking combat machine.

Blast Head is constructed from independent functional units and is designed to interact with compatible Diaclone Tactical Mover machines. Its components can function as enhancement equipment, greatly expanding the customization possibilities when combined with other Diaclone releases.

The set also introduces the Land Chamber, an all-terrain version of the Road Chamber transport module equipped with crawler units for rough-ground operations.

Connect the cab-style Bullet module to transform the Land Chamber into a complete ground transport machine capable of carrying Diaclone vehicles, Powered Suit units, and other compact machines.

The crawler units feature an independent construction and can be stacked in multiple configurations, allowing collectors to create even more heavily equipped ground-transport arrangements when using additional compatible components.

Weapons such as a missile pod or machine gun can also be mounted to the Land Chamber, transforming the transport system into an armed battlefield support vehicle.

Commanding the operation is Comhead IV, a cab-style functional Bullet module designed to serve as the command cab for the Land Chamber.

The cockpit section of Comhead IV can separate to become a compact Flying Pod, providing an aerial machine for reconnaissance, enemy detection, and combat support.

This combination of ground transport, artillery, walking combat, command, and aerial reconnaissance gives Set 9 an unusually broad range of mission possibilities within a single Diaclone package.

The set includes three Diaclone crew members equipped with enhanced Dia-Tector armor. Standing approximately 3 cm tall, these miniature articulated figures feature multiple movable joints and magnetic feet, allowing them to pilot the included machines and interact throughout the wider Diaclone system.

The complete package includes the vehicle, container, Bullet module base, Flying Pod, two crawler units, two crawler joints, runner parts set, three Diaclone crew members, sticker sheet, pamphlet, and instruction manual.

Like other releases in the modern Diaclone series, the Ground Mission set is designed around modularity and cross-compatibility. Components can interact with compatible Tactical Mover machines and other Diaclone vehicles, allowing collectors to expand the set far beyond its standard configurations.
