Message on TARIFFS

Dear Kicks Generation Toys customers,

We deeply appreciate your continued support and passion for collecting. It’s always our goal to keep you informed and to be fully transparent—especially when external changes may impact your experience with us.
The U.S. government recently implemented new tariffs on imported plastic hobby and toys, taking effect on May, 2025. These tariffs are substantial and apply to 99% of the products we offer.
This is a fast-moving situation, and like many others in the toy and collectibles space, we’re doing our best to adapt. We’re hopeful that negotiations between the U.S. and affected countries may eventually lead to reductions or exemptions, but for now, we want to share how this directly affects upcoming orders and pricing.

What You Need to Know
The new tariff rates, determined by the country of origin, are as follows:
China: 30% (90 days)
Vietnam: 10%
Japan: 10%
Since a large portion of collectible toys are manufactured in these regions, the impact is industry-wide. These tariffs are assessed by U.S. Customs when goods arrive, and must be paid before they can be released to us for shipment.
Due to the size of these added costs, it’s unfortunately not possible for us to cover them without making changes to our pricing.
What’s Affected
In-stock items and goods already en route within the U.S. will remain at current prices.
Upcoming preorders—especially items not yet cleared by U.S. Customs—will see adjusted pricing.
As much as we’d love to honor original preorder pricing across the board, the new tariff levels make it financially nonviable for many items.

How We’re Supporting You
We’re committed to minimizing the impact wherever we can:
Absorbing some of the added costs on select items
Limiting price increases on inventory already stateside
Continuing to offer Free Shipping over $250 and rewards and loyalty perks
These aren’t decisions we make lightly. Above all, we’re dedicated to maintaining the high standards of quality and service that define Kicks Generation Toys, even in uncertain times like these.
