40 Years of Aliens: The Ultimate 2026 Collectible Comeback
“Get away from her!”
Forty years later, Aliens remains one of the most recognizable science-fiction films ever made—and 2026 is shaping up to be a major year for collectors.
Released in 1986, James Cameron's Aliens expanded the terrifying world introduced in Alien into a full-scale battle for survival. Ellen Ripley returned to LV-426, joined by the Colonial Marines, and audiences were introduced to some of the franchise's most unforgettable designs: the Xenomorph Warriors, Alien Queen and, of course, the P-5000 Power Loader.
Now, for the movie's 40th anniversary, collectible manufacturers are bringing many of those icons back.
Hot Toys Celebrates 40 Years of Aliens
Hot Toys began teasing its Aliens 40th Anniversary collection earlier in 2026, and we're now seeing the lineup take shape.
At the center of it is Ellen Ripley.
The new 1/6 scale figure recreates Sigourney Weaver's appearance from Aliens with a newly developed portrait, separate rolling eyeballs, a seamless silicone-arm body design and her battle-weathered costume.
Her equipment includes the legendary M41A Pulse Rifle and M240 Incinerator Unit, along with grenades and other accessories.
Hot Toys is offering multiple versions of Ripley, giving serious Aliens collectors several different display possibilities.
But the latest reveal may be even more exciting.
The Power Loader Has Arrived
Hot Toys has now officially unveiled the P-5000 Power Loader.
And it's huge.
Standing approximately 51.5 cm / 20.3 inches tall, the 1/6 scale Power Loader features more than 18 points of articulation, movable mechanical arms and legs, articulated grabbing claws, sliding joysticks, an opening roll cage and functional harness straps.
Hot Toys has also incorporated USB-powered LED lighting into the warning beacon and cockpit area.
Most importantly, the Power Loader is designed to accommodate a 1/6 scale Ellen Ripley figure inside the cockpit.
For collectors who remember the final battle between Ripley and the Alien Queen, this is one of those displays that immediately recreates the movie.
Ellen Ripley + Power Loader
Hot Toys is also offering an Ellen Ripley and Power Loader Collectible Set.
The Ripley included with this set represents her battle-damaged appearance during the movie's climactic confrontation.
There are even small movie-specific details built into the figure, including an interchangeable sock that allows collectors to recreate the moment when Ripley's Reebok Alien Stomper is lost during the airlock sequence.
It's the kind of detail that shows exactly which collectors Hot Toys is targeting with this anniversary release.
For someone wanting a centerpiece Aliens display rather than simply another sixth-scale figure, Ripley inside the Power Loader is difficult to beat.
And Then There's the Alien Queen
Of course, a Power Loader needs something to fight.
The Alien Queen is one of the defining creature designs of the entire franchise, and the 40th anniversary is bringing renewed attention to her as well.
This is where an Aliens collection can become especially impressive.
Ripley.
Power Loader.
Alien Queen.
Xenomorph Warriors.
Alien Eggs and Facehuggers.
Instead of displaying individual figures, collectors can recreate the entire atmosphere of LV-426.
NECA Is Also Going Big for the 40th Anniversary
Hot Toys isn't the only company celebrating.
NECA has introduced several Aliens 40th Anniversary releases for collectors who prefer the 7-inch scale.
The anniversary assortment includes the Ultimate Xenomorph Warrior, Alien Queen Ultra Deluxe Figure, P-5000 Power Loader Deluxe Vehicle, and an Alien Eggs accessory set.
The Xenomorph Warrior stands over 9 inches tall and features more than 30 points of articulation.
The Alien Queen is substantially larger—over 15 inches tall and more than 30 inches long—while remaining compatible with NECA's 7-inch Alien figure collection.
NECA's P-5000 Power Loader is another substantial release, standing over 11 inches tall with more than 30 points of articulation.
These releases are currently expected to begin shipping in Q4 2026.
Two Very Different Ways to Build an Aliens Collection
That's one of the things we like about the 40th Anniversary lineup.
Collectors have options.
If you're looking for a large premium centerpiece with realistic character likenesses and movie-level detail, the Hot Toys 1/6 collection is clearly aimed at that experience.
If you want to build a larger scene with multiple Xenomorphs, vehicles and creatures without requiring an enormous display area, NECA's 7-inch line offers another approach.
And some collectors will inevitably collect both.
Why Aliens Still Matters 40 Years Later
What's remarkable is that these collectibles aren't celebrating a forgotten movie that happens to have reached an anniversary.
Aliens remains relevant.
The Power Loader still looks futuristic.
The Pulse Rifle is instantly recognizable.
The Alien Queen remains one of cinema's great creature designs.
And Ellen Ripley remains one of science fiction's most memorable protagonists.
That's why manufacturers can return to a 1986 movie four decades later and still generate genuine excitement among collectors.
For many fans, these aren't simply new toys.
They're physical representations of scenes they have remembered for most of their lives.
2026 Is a Great Year to Be an Alien Collector
With new Hot Toys Ellen Ripley figures, the massive 1/6 Power Loader, NECA's 40th Anniversary collection, and continued interest across the wider Alien franchise, 2026 is becoming an unusually strong year for Alien collectors.
And we're watching to see what gets announced next.
Could we see additional Colonial Marines?
More Xenomorph variants?
More premium-scale characters?
Additional 40th Anniversary surprises?
We'll have to wait for the manufacturers to tell us.
At Kicks Generation Toys, we'll continue following the latest Alien and Aliens collectible announcements, upcoming releases and preorder news.
Because after 40 years, one thing is obvious:
The ultimate bug hunt isn't over yet.
